I am so excited to share some behind the scene shots from my first community SHINE event! SHINE was started as a way to give back to families who are going through a hard time. Each quarter, Amy Wilson Photography is donating a full family session to a deserving family so their light can shine through the storm they are facing or have faced. It was so much fun working with the Washington High School Life Skills program for SHINE’s first community event! I used to be a special education teacher at Washington Park Elementary and these kids hold a special place in my heart.
I want to give a huge thank you to all the talented artist who volunteered their time to help the students feel beautiful! Soozie Harrison was my right hand girl and helped me pose all the kids as they got their photos taken! Dawn Sartori Hudock did the girl’s hair and made them feel so beautiful! Randi Mager & Lisa Nicklow did the girl’s make up and made them feel like models!!
I also want to give a special thank you to Washington PA Chick-fil-A for donating chicken sandwiches for the event and Eat’n Park – Washington for donating Smiley cookies!! (probably the best part of their day) 😉
Lastly, I want to give a special thank you to the teachers and aids that were there helping me throughout the morning. What you do on a daily basis with these kiddos is AMAZING!! You guys rock!!!
